The table is sturdy enough for studying and writing. However, my desk came with a small dent from shipping and the top two parts of the desk don't line up completely, though it can be fixed. The price was also very good, and that's what makes me go over the tipping point between 4 stars and 5 to give this a high rating. The Melbourne Cabinet has truly transformed my space. It is elegant, sturdy, and I’m so pleased with its design. It’s exactly what I was looking for!
