We installed this without the help of an electrician. 12 shells arrived with a chip/broken, and we plan to contact the manufacturer for replacements. They should include more replacement shells in the shipment, because not all of the replacement have two holes to loop two clasps. It was worth the two to three hours it took to install & string the shells, as this is a great addition to our beach home.. The lights are beautiful, they add a great touch to my living room.
